Front Cover of ACS Applied Nano Materials

Super thrilled to have our work on front cover of ACS Applied Nano Materials! This is the work of my post-doc, Dr. Gabriele Boschetto, on “Ab Initio Computer Simulations on Interfacial Properties of Single-Layer MoS2 and Au Contacts for Two-Dimensional Nanodevices”.

The cover art illustrates how antisite Mo atoms act as “conductive bridges” between MoS₂ and the Au electrode, thus enhancing the electron injection rate from the metal electrode to the 2D material.
