Electronic design, automation, and test community in Europe is thriving and growing! We had 3 intense, exhilarating and inspiring days at the Design, Automation and Test in Europe Conference (DATE) 2025 in Lyon, France. Prof. Aida Todri-Sanial had the immense responsibility and honour to serve as the General Chair for DATE 2025.
The energy was amazing as the community came together – young, old and very young – to share knowledge, celebrate achievements, and thinking together to the future. AI, Semicon, 3D integration, photonics, quantum, EDA, advanced packaging and many more were at the center of our discussions.
Lots of inspiring talks, with great exchanges and provoking panel discussions. Insightful talks from industry leaders and EU Chips Act (and 2.0) provided valuable perspectives on the future of our industry and ecosystem. The participation of various EU start ups and student teams added an exciting dimension to the event, showcasing the cutting-edge advancements and entrepreneurial spirit within our community.
This conference is a testament to our growing and vibrant community, marking the largest participation of over 1,000 people since covid-19. It was an amazing and proud moment for everyone involved, and the beautiful city of Lyon provided the perfect backdrop for our gathering.
