On behalf of Microelectronics Department at LIRMM, Dr. A. Todri-Sanial hosted the Seminar on Quantum Computing on April 18, 2018.
Quantum computers promise to run calculations far beyond the reach of any conventional supercomputers. They might revolutionize the discovery of new materials by enabling powerful simulations at the atom level. Or they could shake-up cryptography and security by making safe codes. There is even ambition to boost artificial intelligence by crunching more data efficiently. This seminar brought together experts from physics and engineering to discuss on the recent progress on key enabling technologies from quantum device to system.
